In 1977 I got my bachelor's degree at the University of Florida in the Science of Food and Nutrition. In 1992 I got my graduate biochemistry degree from the University of South Carolina. My postdoctoral work was doing research for the NCTR and at Scripps. Presently, I am a molecular biologist at the US Department of Agriculture. I am also a chemistry teacher at the local college. Because of my background, I can teach my students a wide variety of science and math subjects, but, of course, my favorites to teach are Nutrition, Chemistry, and Biochemistry. I am a dedicated and caring teacher, and because I understand how complex and demanding these subjects are, I can be infinitely patient. Each student is important to me and I try to tailor my teaching to each specific student. I believe that learning is the path to attaining what you want in life, and I try to impart that belief to each of my pupils. I can teach your student how to be successful in Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, IB Chemistry HL, IB Chemistry SL, Nutrition, Honors Chemistry, Life Sciences, and Science.When I'm not teaching or studying, I like playing tennis, going running, and cycling. I enjoy reading, especially nonfiction.
